How current is the data

A scouting report is only as useful as it is current. Here is how VeriScout stays up to date, and what to expect at the edges.

Two things update, on two rhythms

The record updates as football happens. New fixtures, appearances, starts, goals and assists flow in from official league and federation sources as they are published.

Your reports re-generate automatically every 14 days — every report, whether or not the player is saved to your Recruiting Board. You never need to re-run anything to get a current picture.

What that means in practice

• A report you opened in March shows you March's data only if nothing has happened since. Open it again and you are reading today's version.
• Scores move as the record moves. See Why did a player's score change?
• The date in Report History is when you first ran the report — not the age of what is inside it.

A match was played and I do not see it yet

Two normal explanations. Either the source has not published the fixture yet — official records lag the final whistle, sometimes by days — or the match has landed but your report has not hit its next 14-day refresh.

Off-season and between seasons

When a league is not playing, nothing new arrives, and that is not a fault. Current Form is measured against the club's fixtures rather than the calendar, so a winter break does not read as a player being dropped — the circle simply holds steady until football resumes.

Season transitions are the one time to read a report with slightly more care. A player who has just changed club or moved up a division will have a thin record in the new environment for a while, and the report will reflect exactly that: not much evidence yet at the new level.

Youth and lower divisions

Publication speed varies by country and by level. Top divisions are typically quick and complete; youth competitions and lower divisions can be slower to publish. It is one reason a very recent signing or a just-promoted youth player can look thinner in VeriScout than they are in real life.

The record behind the record

Reports are living documents rather than dated snapshots, but the career itself is never overwritten. The Development Path holds every season, club and competition on file, so the history stays intact even as the current-form picture moves.
